I love my job!
For over thirteen years I have I been able to meet so many lovely people and have helped them tell their stories and have original, fun, meaningful and beautiful humanist ceremonies that reflect them, their personalities and lives.

I have two lovely sons – one who is grown up and has severe special needs – he is so happy and sociable. And one who is ten – he is a brilliant little companion and loves a good chat (he is brilliant at animating and game building, he has his own youtube channel and a cat reel Instagram page).

I live in the West End of Glasgow -just across from the Botanics! I love living in such a vibrant area. It’s the best of both worlds nice bit of the city and not far from the mountains.

I also love gardening, we have a shared central garden in our street and with my neighbour grow vegetables for everyone. Gardeners’ World is my favourite programme and Monty Don is my hero.

I used to be a magazine editor and have edited lots of different titles. My most relevant being Humanitie, that I edited for six years, which is a humanist members’ magazine.

I have been a humanist celebrant since 2009 and have spent most of my humanist celebrant career in Scotland and have conducted hundreds of legal humanist weddings. I was also down in London for a few years and met some lovely wedding suppliers down there!

I am also a business coach, and a tech geek and love making videos (see my insta page) I have now started up a fun membership with Instagram expert Marti. Creative Content Club helps creative small business owners who can’t be bothered making video for their businesses, actually enjoy creating content together with our amazing community!

For any of you who have written about yourself on your own website – you will know how cringy it feels. So for you to have an idea of what I’m like – I asked my close friends and family to give me five words that describe me and this is the selection they all came up with: Positive, Friendly, Energetic, Dynamic, Enthusiastic, Helpful, Loving, Conscientious, Trustworthy, Loyal, Feisty, Caring, Reliable, Human, Ambitious and Generous. (Glad they are all positive!!).
